TREK IN THE PARK

Trek in the Park RETURNS! This summer, we present an episode with one of the most classic and enduring villains to ever cross paths with Kirk and crew in the final frontier, KHAN.
A perfectly preserved, genetically enhanced warrior from the 20th century, Khan, is revived by the crew of the USS Enterprise upon discovering his adrift ship. They deduce Khan was the kind of 20th century leader who could have conquered the Earth in his time. However, not everyone is suspicious of Khan’s intentions, one such person is Lt. Marla McGivers, the ship’s historian. She is so moved by Khan’s glorious ambition, she assists him in hijacking the Enterprise to finish the conquest Khan Noonian Singh started 200 years ago. Will this be the last generation for the crew of the USS Enterprise?
Portland actors accompanied with live music and effects bring this classic piece of television to life!
Shows are at 5:00pm Saturdays and Sundays July 10-August 1 (4 weekends! 8 shows total!) Be sure to get there early for a good viewing spot!

Here’s some quick announcements from tonight’s Suck My Flick.
1- If you’d like to be a part of the next Suck My Flick promotional video, just mail adam@portlandfilm.org and let him know what roles you’d like to play. Actors, production team, etc.
2- Brighton reminds us about the Portland Bridge Festival found here: http://www.pdxbridgefestival.org/

3- Curious Comedy Theater wants to announce their sketch comedy show called “Sock It To Me” running Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm all through April. That’s going to be followed by “Jean Louis” in May!

Attention local filmmakers, the historic McMenamins Bagdad Theater is looking for submissions of short films up to 30 minutes in length made by local Oregon filmmakers.

NW FILMMAKERS NIGHT II
Come out to vote for your favorite!
Doors at 6 p.m.; films at 7 p.m. | $3 per person | All ages welcome
Come to the Bagdad to view the selected finalists’ short films, have a pint, vote for your favorite, have another pint and enjoy the evening! Voting will be by audience ballot and by a panel of pre-selected judges. The winners will be determined by a combination of 50% audience vote and 50% judges’ vote. In case of a tie the judges’ vote will determine the winner.
