Hi, I’m organizing a media-making retreat in the Eugene-area this Summer. Film and media-makers will be coming out to work on their projects and learn how to grow organic food.

The idea is to create a concentrated and healthy work-environment, but I would also really love there to be a dialog with the existing film community in the area. I am planning on scheduling open workshops/screenings/lectures on film and sustainable food topics with the guests at the retreat over the course of the summer, but I’d also love to bring local filmmakers out to see what we’re doing too… Would you be willing to post an announcement for the retreat? http://playfarm.wordpress.com

    Best,
    Emma

On Thursday, July 23rd at the Blue Monk, Film Baby will sponsor the celebration of the Bicyclists DVD release. There will be a free screening (and online streaming) of the movie and a live set with the Buoy LaRue band.

Film Baby will also be there to make a presentation and answer questions about what Film Baby can do for film makers.

We would love it if you mentioned this event on your website.

You can find out much more about the movie and the event at our website: http://www.thebicyclists.com and get supporting press materials on our press page: http://www.thebicyclists.com/press.html.

I also have a specific press release for this event along with graphics designed just for web use that I would be happy to send you.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.

    Thank you,

    Sharon

Just wanted to let ya know that I have a Portland Sights and Sounds group created on Vimeo. Lots of folks are posting some good stuff here, I hope for it to be a “catch all” for anything shot in Portland, or has massive Portland related content.
